We are celebrating a special anniversary: 20 years of oneword! Since being founded in September 2004 by Andrea Modersohn and Andreas Meisner, we have continued to develop as a language service provider and we can now look back on two decades of quality, innovation and responsibility.

In 20 years, oneword has developed into one of Germany’s leading language service providers. With a strong focus on employee skills and training, quality management, process efficiency and innovation, we offer forward-looking translation solutions that meet the highest standards.

One of the cornerstones of our work is quality. We not only adhere to the industry standards, but also actively help to shape them through our involvement in DIN. We underline this commitment with our ISO 17100, ISO 18587 and ISO 9001 certifications.

As a language service provider with many years of experience, we offer a wide range of services for customers from a wide variety of industries. Our expertise ranges from traditional specialised translation and machine translation and post-editing to terminology management, transcreation and software localisation. The sectors that we support primarily include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, healthcare, software and IT, but also highly regulated sectors, such as the medical technology and automotive industries. With customised solutions, we ensure that our customers can optimally serve their international markets.

As one of the pioneers among translation service providers, we have been harnessing the power of both artificial intelligence and human expertise for a long time. With our ISO-certified machine translation + post-editing (MTPE) service, we combine the strengths of neural machine translation (NMT) with the expertise of native-speaker professional translators. We work with state-of-the-art technology and software in all our service areas – be it terminology management or translation memory systems.

We always stay up to date with new technologies and tools in order to make translation processes more efficient and optimise workflows together with our customers. Where standard market solutions are lacking, our technology team develops customised innovations, always with your requirements and cost-effectiveness in mind.
