While we are looking forward to the most wonderful time of the year, hunger continues to affect the lives of many thousands of children in Haiti. Through our Christmas donation, we are therefore once again supporting nph Kinderhilfe Lateinamerika e. V., a charity providing urgently needed help.

In the face of numerous crises, including some in Europe, the plight of disadvantaged people in other regions of the world is often forgotten.

One of these countries is Haiti. The people of Haiti are affected by gang crime and political instability. In addition, inflation has driven up food prices to such an extent that many families can no longer afford essential food products. This has devastating consequences: around a third of all children in Haiti are dependent on humanitarian aid and almost half of the population suffers from malnutrition.

Our Christmas donation this year will therefore once again go to nph Kinderhilfe Lateinamerika e. V., which we have been supporting as a social partner for 13 years with pro bono translations and donations.

The organisation runs the St. Damien children’s hospital in Haiti. In one dedicated ward, the doctors look after children suffering from acute malnutrition. More staff and medicines are needed to continue their work and help even more children.

Every contribution counts and you can help with a donation (only available in German), to alleviate the suffering of children in Haiti – and not just at Christmas.
